Based on this survey, Native Americans/Alaska Natives are above the Whites, Blacks and Hispanics, as it relates to the use of illicit drugs. I was reviewing the subtitle numbers and it appears to be that White students (8th-10th) have a higher usage. Hispanic seniors on the other hand have a longer lifetime usage of drugs. This surveys looks at every scenario. The results fluctuate noticeably. Black drug offenders are the majority in the State prison. Reviewing the offense/sentence part of the survey, Hispanics fall into the category of cocaine, heroin, marijuana usage; Blacks fall into crack cocaine and Whites are sentenced for meth. I guess it all depends on the perspective that we are looking at to get a result. Many aspects can be involved, such as age, background education, family or society support, self awareness.
test on narco and dang subst.
The 2007 National Survey on Drug Use and Health showed that the highest rate of current (past month) illicit drug use was among American Indian/Alaska Natives (12.6%), followed by persons reporting two or more races (11.8%), blacks/African Americans (9.5%), whites (8.2%), and Hispanics (6.6%). The lowest rate of current illicit drug use was among Asians (4.2%)
Based on the information provided it is difficult to estimate yet provide an educated opinion since the data seems to be from 2007. I can only expect these numbers to be on the rise and given the continuance of the collapse from our economic status, drugs will be more of an escape for people.
Indian and Alaska natives generally can’t be accurately accounted for since their laws give tremendous power protection from federal and state laws. Also, among native tribes Marijuana and other drugs are a norm to consume. Poverty usually plays a big role for family problems and thus leads people for “escape” and drugs are usually the quickest solution for them. This is why I agree with the statement “Hispanic seniors have the highest rate of lifetime usage for powder cocaine, crack cocaine, heroin with and without a needle, methamphetamine, and crystal methamphetamine ("ice").” Found on below the top information of the webpage.
Even though the results state that Marijuana is king amongst the drugs consumed, it is worth mentioning that is also the cheapest and some find it also easy to grow. Given the accessibility, it will be a dominant drug for years to come.
According to the article High School students percentage rates of drug use is continuously increasing. Marijuana is used the most of all races by high school students. Black students have the highest lifetime usage of marijuana, whites highest lifetime usage is inhalants, and hispanics highest lifetime usage is cocaine, heroin, methamphetamine ecstasy, and steroids. Also, according to the prison system whites have the highest dependency on drug usage compared to any other race. However, whites tend to get treatment by admitting themselves in drug treatment facilities more often than ay other race. According to the 2007 Survey Repor American Indian/Alaskan Natives have the highest usage of illicit drug usage amongst any other race; however, they have the least percentage of individuals attempting to get treatment for drug usage.
I agree with Joel that most people use marijuana because it is cheaper and it can be grown right in your back yard versus having to continously take the risk of smuggling illegal drugs from state to state, or from one country to the next. Marijuana will continously be around because it is easier to obtain or come in contact with.
In my opinion the results should of been broken down even more. Although some might not agree there is a difference between the habitual drug user and the recreational drug user. I have noticed that in areas where there is less activities to keep adolescents occupied the teens are more likely to try out a drug. The charts do show the percentage of offenders that have been arrested, but it does not show if it was their first offense or if they were repeat offenders. In addition, another reason why I do not believe the results are as accurate is because these are just the people that have been arrested for the drug possession. So is it that the Police is doing a better job at catching drug users? Are there really more people using drugs now than before? Or are more people just getting caught now?
The survey indicated that most of the time Hispanics seniors have a haigher lifetime usuage of drugs. Different races fall in to different types of drugs. Also Whites tend to admit themselves to get help more then any other race.
I agree with Joels comment when he says "Poverty usually plays a big role for family problems and thus leads people for “escape” and drugs are usually the quickest solution for them". Lower income household's are more vulnerable in to trying out certain narcotics as a way to escape the harsh realities that they are facing in their daily life. However, there is an exception to every rule, but for the most part that is how it tends to be.
I agree with Joel marijuana is cheaper to buy and easy to grow, so it will be around for years to come.
The Results shown between all the different race that Native Americans/Alaska Natives have the highest illicit drug use, then people of two or more race,blacks/African Americans, whites,Hispanics. The lowest rate illicit drug use was among Asians. This came to a surprise to me i thought that the white race would be the highest. It was also interesting to find out that cocaine was highest in Hispanic race. The Hispanics were also classified under cocaine, heroin, marijuana usage. Blacks fall into crack cocaine. Most whites are put away for meth. All races are about equal when it comes to using of Marijuana before age 13.
I would also have to agree with joel that Marijuana is one of the most common drug due to how a lot of teenagers don't believe that it is a drug and also that it is one of the cheapest drugs available.
The National Survey shows that the extent use of narcotics is higher among whites and blacks than any other race.Making current marijuana highest of all narcotics of all, and for that large percentage of people to be on narcotics prior to the age of thirteen is unheard of (well to me it is). In all the cases that were surveyed the whites were in higher percentages than all the other races including the arrests and sentencing, which really caught me off guard because from my own personal observation I believed that hispanics and black would have been at the top of all the statistics even though I know that whites do narcotics as well just me not knowing this was a shock.
Based on the article, the results show an ongoing fluctuation in statistics based on the type of information being reported. For example, the drug use by high school students shows there to be on average a higher percentage of whites followed by hispanics and then blacks. However, narrowing it down to the specific drug used, the percentage changes. Blacks have the highest percentage of lifetime marijuana use, followed by hispanic, followed by whites. yet, hispanics have the highest use of cocaine, and whites with the highest use of inhalents. Population percentage should also be considered when taking into account the percentage of drug users. The percentage of a population does have the potential to affect the results of certain ethnic groups.
I agree with Joel that poverty usually plays a big role for family problems and thus leads people for “escape” and drugs are usually the quickest solution for them.
Ultimately the summary states that Hispanics are more drug users than any other race for most of the drugs listed. There is not much of a difference between the races with the usage of marijuana as high school students. However being that the high school survey is from 2007, I’m sure there is a substantial increase in all the statics now. Marijuana is more at reach with high school students and much easier as adults. I was actually a little shocked at the statistics; I would have flipped a couple if I wouldn’t know any better.
I have to agree with Joel's comment about how easily accessible marijuana is as well as that poverty does play a huge role in part of the reasons why people turn to drugs. It's an escape outlet to reality. If a person's living environment is not condusive to their well being and there is an absence of activities to keep them focused on doing well in life, drugs become something that occupies their time and most of the time becomes their life.
i agree with Audrey...i was shocked when i saw that whites were at the top of most of the lists than hispanics and blacks. those are the statistics, as i said before, that i would have switched. i guess since living in Miami, most areas dont really have a big white population so we dont see it as much. however when you look at the statistcs of the overall USA population, blacks and hispanics dont really make up a lot of the 299,398,485 people population in comparison with whites.
I agree with Y. Marte as many aspects are involved with drug usage, such as age, background education and more importantly self awareness. Let's hope we find ways to help those that can't help themselves break this epidemic.
I think the results of the survey are partly do to culture, socioeconomics, and survey method itself. for exemple Native Americans are known to use illicit drugs for religious resons. Blacks show a high percentage because illicit drug use is common amoung those in poverty, and the majority of those in poverty are black. whenever I encounter a survey I always question the method of which it was taken. there are numerous factors that can influence or give false results.
The article shows that the highest rate of illicit drug use was among American Indian/Alaska Natives, followed by persons reporting two or more races, blacks/African Americans, whites, Hispanics, and Asians. It also reported the percentage of drug used by High School Students in 2007; showing the highest percentage in marijuana users were white students.
It also showed the percentage of prisoners who used drugs and the one of treatment admissions: showing that the white has the highest percentage.
I think that the major role is played by a wrong enviroment and the wrong peers.
joel broke it down pretty good. good job bro!
i think the results have alot to do with how and where they were raised, and what they were exposed to. so i would have to agree with Y. Marte
I agree with Joel that marijuana is the most common, easier to find and cheaper drug in circulation. And I think also that the people don't really think is a powerful drug like for example cocaine, extasy or meth, but that it is something don't make you addicted too. And that is one of the main reason youg guys start without thinking, because they are sure that they can stop whenever they want with any future consequence.
According to the report use by high school students, it has been said that Marjuanna is the leading usage among our youth. The reason behind this is that these youngsters have an easy access to getting this type of drug. While reviewing the statistics Black African Americans are lifetime marjuanna users while Hispanic are the top lifetime users of cocaine, heroin, ecstasy, and illegal steroids. Whites are also more likely to get arrested for drugs and more likely to be incarcerated in both federal and state prison. The reason behind minorities using drugs is because of poverty, socialization, and the lack of education about drug use.
The NSDUH Report indicates that persons reporting two or more races have higher rates on the use of illicit drug than those with only one, in the past month. For example, 12.7 percent of persons reporting two or more races use an illicit drug last month, while the percent on Hispanics using illicit drugs last month was only 7.4.In my personal opinion, I don’t’ think that race has a lot to do with the use of drugs. I think the decision of doing illicit drugs varies from individual to individual.
testing
I agree with Joel. I can clearly see why marjuanna would be the leading drug use among our teenagers today.
The 2007 National Survey on Drug Use and Health just come out to show one more time how the use of grug has been increasing in the american society. The findings are really alarming and lead us to think about a broad picture of the phenomenon. This chronicle phenomenon cannot be explained with out taking in consideration some factors such as:history of the Indians, the reality of today, the economy, the socio-political aspect.
the highest rate is among American Indians(13,7%)who have been using those plants for centuries. It seems for them a culture.Blacks/African Americans come in second position with 9.8%.It is not a surprise for us if we want to link this percentage with their socioeconomical reality. A lot of blacks make their living through the use of illicit drugs. Isn't actually alomost a perception that all types of Americans are using drug in the search of means to escape from reality? Americans who strongly share another culture are likely the use less Drug. this is the case of Asian americans with the lowest rate of 3.6%. Those people ussually use meditation and do martial art in order to cope with some reality.
In clear, it belongs to the "State" to take more drastic measures, as well as develop new strategies, in order to find a comprehensive solution to that phenomenon.
The 2007 National Survey on Drug Use and Health results showed that the highest rate of current illicit drug use was among American Indian/Alaska Native, with a 12.6%, followed by black/African americans, with a 9.5%. Whites, Hispanics and Asians complete the group with a 8.2%, 6.6% and 4.2% respectively.
Not surprisingly, the drug of choice among high school students was marijuana, but heroin was the drug with the lowest rate of use. A reason that could explain this fact is the accesibility of marijuana to people of all classes and the popularity of the drug.
Another fact showed by the survey is that over 40% of state and federal prisoners of all races indicated that they used drugs in the month before they committed their offense. This probably explains why half of our inmates in state and federal prisons are serving their sentence because of a drug related offense.
Isn't actually alomost a perception that all types of Americans are using drug in the search of means to escape from reality? Americans who strongly share another culture are likely the use less Drug.
I agree with Emmanuel when he says that Americans who strongly share another culture are less likely to use illigal drugs. The reason being that you are exposed to other options on how to cope and live with the stress of life.
According to the survey, the highest rate of drug users is American Indian/ Alaska Natives regarding illict drugs. The lowest drug use was with Asians. According to the surveys done in highschools, the report showed the highest marijuana users were black students. However, hispanics has the highest rate lifetime usage in between the deadlist drugs such as, cocaine, crack, heroin and meth. Additionally on the treatment side, whites have the highest percent seeking help with their drug addictions. I believe all this information should be broken down better as to what kind of enviorment these races come from. Not only on that but how it also varies depending on support, education and knowlegde. I do beleive the highest drug users come from broken down homes and from non supportive/ caring families.
I would have to agree with Y Marte, I think education, family and self awareness have play a big part on illicit drug use.
Melissa,I also agree with you that it has more to do than just the race when it comes to drug users.
This was a compelling article, but I feel that it's missing a little. The minorities such as african, native, and hispanic americans seem to use more.Certain Narcotics minorities don't use simply because they can't afford them. Also, certain minorities simply don't have the means in which to smuggle drugs into this country. But never the less, Drugs are a constant issue in this country, and will always be just that a problem.
I agree with Joel. The survey is out dated and I do believe the rates must be higher in all aspects. I also agree that in reference to the poverty and hardship that our communities are facing, people tend to go for the fake solution.
I agree a bit with Y. Marte that many aspects have to be involved such as education. But the use of drug in not only the problem of non educated or poor people.I remember couple years ago that a judge was caught smoking "pot" in park in Fort Lauderdale. Moreover,People occupying high office may use illicit drug. Get a look at the former Bush press secretary book on the White House.
Thanks.
For some reason certain races consume certain drugs according to race. Whites are known mostly for consuming drugs like meth, opiates, etc. Blacks tend to use marijuana, crack, etc. It seems like the Hispanics and Whites consume about the same amount for each drug consumption level. Highschool students usually begin their drug experience with marijuana, then later on, move on to more harsh drugs. Drug use among Americans have not improved over the last decade. So much for the "war on drugs".
Based on the 2006 Survey on Drug Use and Health the highest rate of illicit drug usage was amongst American Indian/Alaska Natives. And to my surprise African Americans was second. As for the Survey on the use by high school students African Americans were high in marijuana and Hispanics were high in cocaine.African Americans were also shown to have a lower rate of using illicit drugs than white students. My out look on this is that the numbers for these surveys have changed dramastic because I know for sure arrest and sentencing has gone up to the low rate drug supply on the streets and arrest that were made recently.

The article is giving an explanation and breaking down in the usage of illicit drugs among race/ethnicity based on where they live. The article stated that more illicit drugs are done in the metropolitan area, more than non-metropolitan area. Based on their survey its states that the combination of two or more races has the highest percentage in the use of illicit drugs. As for metropolitan area Hispanic coming in second after Asian use less illicit drugs.
Comment by Jessenia Chavarria
I agree with Joel, since we are facing harsh time in our economy, marijuana will be the drug of choice for many users because it cost less.
I agree with Audrey that it was a shock that whites have a higher rate of arrest and sentencing than blk/hispanis, but when u look at it most blk/hispanics have the most experience of not gettin caught than whites beacuase they been in the game for so long.
This survey reflects the different percentages of illicit drug abuse based on Race/Ethnicity. The highest drug abuse users appeared to be in the American Indian population followed by the blacks/African Americans. On the other hand according with the Treatment Episode Data Set these two are the most admitted to treatment facilities Whites(59.4%) and Blacks (21.3%). People’s ethnicity/race also reflects tremendously in what type of drug they consume. For example the FY4 shows that people from the white populations prefer to use Methamphetamine(5,367) and Blacks use the most Crack cocaine(3,161), while Hispanic were sentenced for powder cocaine and heroin(3,943).
The continuous use of drugs appears to increase more every year because a lot of people are using these substances to try to get away from their problems. I agree with Joel “Poverty usually plays a big role for family problems and thus leads people for “escape” and drugs are usually the quickest solution for them.” Most kids who are victims of abuse and don’t have a good communication with their family end up buying and consuming these substances in their own school. That’s why parents should always try to be aware of everything that is going on with their kid’s life and be friends with them.
Just as the article, I will begin with the frightening yet obvious fact that high school students continue using illicit drugs. According to the article, they have expanded their choices to a wider variety of drugs. So, considering the extent of use of illicit drugs by high school students, one drug stood out among all others. Marijuana holds the highest percent of current and lifetime users. In addition, Blacks hold the highest percentage of current and lifetime users. However, Hispanics, whites, and others do not fall far behind. Whatever the percentage, such numbers are a cause for concern. The article further explains how prisoners of specified ethnicities have reported drug use before their offense. In my opinion, such statistics would not be so if a greater emphasis was placed on treating our youths before they reach such levels of deviance. After analyzing the remaining results, I found that this article failed to report on the social status of such ethnic groups. Such is so because I believe that some of the minority groups mention in this article were and continue being burdened by poverty.
I agree with a few of my classmates but Edward Marange's view stands out the most, to me. The statistics could have been compared in more ways and related to an entire population of users. It's difficult to give a close enough estimate because a lot of users were never caught so, according to survey, they weren't counted.
The 2007 National Survey on Drug Use and Health only showed the illicit drugs use among different ethnic groups in specific social groups like among high schools students or prisioners. Also reported arrests and sentences were included in this Survey. Minorities as black and hispanics are almost higher as whites in drug abuse considering that whites represent the 73.9% of the American population. However, there are other components that would make this Survey more accurate considering the current National Financial Crisis we are living as a whole. Less budget to Criminal Justice departments means higher crime in society. I would like to see how these statistical figures would increase this year. Stay tuned.
According to the drug use and dependence of state and federal prisoners in 2004, reports state that among drug dependent or abusing prisoners about 40% of state and 49% of federal prisoners took part in drug abuse treatment or programs since admission to prison...i agree with that report because i work in a state prison and many offenders do try to turn their lives around and become clean. although in my opinion, this can be a problem when inmates release date start to come around because once they seek treament within the institution they fear that they might relapse when released back into society. i have witnessed inmates purposely become disruptive in order to avoid being released back into society.
I feel that there is really no way of knowing the truth about which race uses what type of drug. becuase there are a lot of unreported cases. However the survey showed that For blacks and whites, drug use rates tended to be lower in non-metropolitan counties than other counties.I guess this is becuase of the envorment.
I read what Makiba Jones about marijuana. this is very true that this is a cheap drug this is also called the gate drug, because it open up the gate to all other drugs.
I agree with the fact that because of our economy that marijuana would be the easiest drug to get your hands on. Its cheap, its naturally grown and i dont believe its that addictive like other drugs out there. Many families are in a very bad position and they could turn to a certain drug to ease their pains or struggles.
I agree with Joel's comment as a good breakdown of this Survey. Also he stated that marijuana is the most used drug in American society which I agree and it's well-known how easy is to get it. We need to focus more on how to create social policies to reduce drug abuse in society. The issue of whether to prohibit, decriminalize, or legalize drugs in this country still out there.
this is christopher.n posting comment. the 2007 national survey on drug use and health shows an alarming high percentage of illicit drug use among all america/alaska native at (12.6%). and a low percentage on whites at (8.2%) and hispanics at (6.6). asians came at a low percent (4.2%). however i believe that since these staticstics are from 2007. i fear that the percentage of drug user in each catagorey to be increasing at a high rate. if you look at the main drug that most of our young society is consuming is marjuana. as it came in high percentage among white in high school. marijuana is a gate way drug at (back then and still now). marijuana came in a high percent in all ethnicity. as individual consume more drugs the rate of drug usage continue to clime up the chart. drug among society is a problem all around the world. affecting communities as well as families.
I must agree with Bastia Dorelien. First, for commenting on the fact that poverty plays a large role throughout such statistics. Second, for stating how the lack of education about drug use affects our youths. Furthermore, I believe the strongest effort should come from the parents or guardians.
I agree with Joel and markiba that marijuana is the least expensive, non addictive compared to all other drugs, easily excessible, to an extent can easily be grown by any ,individual and if convicted of possession of marijuana is only a misdemeanor for small quantities. Also what ever drugs are prevelant in the particular region plays a major role inregards to which ethnic groups uses each particular drug.
i would have to agree with joel. due to our economic status here in the united states and other parts all over the world. people consume drug to escape what is reality and before they know it it's to late for them. were ever there is a drug dealer there is a consumer. drug is the only business that never go out. drug is a big issue that will continue to increase as years go on.
The highest rate of current illicit drug use was American Indian / Alaska Natives with 12.6%, followed by Blacks/African Americans with 9.5%, Whites with 8.2%, and last but not least, Hispanics with 6.6%. I was very surprised about the results because I figured it would be the Blacks and Hispanics that did drugs the most. It didn't surprise me, however, that marijuana is the drug most used within High School students of all races because it is so easy to find. Anybody can practically grow it in their backyard.
I agree with Joel as well because Marijuana is the cheapest drug you can find and it is the easiest one to grow. It will indeed be here for a very long time and everybody is going to continue using it.It's even cheaper than Alcohol. I mean, you're set with $10 worth of Marijuana, when alcohol is way more expensive. It seems like everybody has and sells it these days, which is terrible.
My personal opinion on those results is really unexplainable, the reason why I say its unexplainable is because different type of people do drugs for different types of reasons. Some people experiment with drugs because their lonely/sad, some people take in drugs because they just want to fit in or feel/seem cool, and some people actually consume drugs because they have a fatal illness and it heals the pain a bit. The fact that drugs are illegal just temps kids or teenagers to want or crave drugs even more!
According to the result, the Office of National Drug Control policy had proved statistics of some races living in the US. When i have seen the percentage of high school students by race who used life time marijuana, it seems the numbers are close to me. And By seeing the result i have to ask myslef " how do these teens get into it or who in the world provide it to these teens" Because the statistic do not mention any specific places in the US that used mrijuana the most. Therefore I assumed these teens surely adapted this drugs from their ancestors or parents. And if i said friends. i would still have to ask myself how did that friend get it.. it must started from an adult. Overall, I am not quiet agreed with the data they provided because they would have to break it down from state by state or cities by cities.
Comment made by Melissa Rosa..
Based on the survey we are living in a world filled with all different types of illegal substances, where it can be reached any where at any time. This survey informed me very well on the results of how many different types of drug usage among different cultures. When you think about I didn’t even know that the usage of drugs in minority culture was as high. It is a shock, but at the same time it isn’t. The drugs are easy to find and aren’t expensive. The category under “other,” might not even be exposed to these kinds of drugs. When you look at it the survey the blacks and hispanics have mostly the highest usage…. Can it be because we are considered “minorities” we have that title? Or even because of the lack of education or upbringing? Perhaps, but there are two sides to each story, their families might be working hard trying to give them a better life and are to busy to realize what these kids are doing. As long as there is access there’s is going to be usage.
I would definitely have to agree with Joel, and Chris. What their stating is true, the more the economy brakes down and fails to help its citizens the more stressful life gets! Drugies have a state of mind that drugs will ease their life and set all problems aside; but what their really doing is wasting a bunch of money on drugs that are just ruining their lives and breaking them down little by little! There are more important priorities in life than doing drugs and complaining about the economy and life itself.
Me, Jean, also agree with Melissa because race is not quiet the issue. no matter where you are or how the situation might be. I truly belive there would always be someone to make a difference. It seems most lkely a person to person deal.
I have to say that in reading this article I was surprised to find such results for Native Americans. Don't get me wrong I expected to see a high rate for blacks and hispanics but not for Native Americans. I guess it just goes to show what a role one's family customs can have on them. I say this because I was reading through some of the other students comments and I agree with one of the students (I'm sorry I can't find the exact comment now) but the comment they wrote mentioned something about how Native Americans have rituals and what not and I do think that can be a big part of it. I think that maybe this survey should have questioned why the person even took part in the drug use, like what lead them to do it? I know I probably don't make sense but I just keep thinking about the film we saw in class and it just makes me think of the different reasons why some cultures may take part in specific drug use. What if it's just about rituals and customs and not just to get a nice high? As for the marijuana use I have to say I'm not surprised to see that it's in the lead for illicit drug use. It is the most inexpensive and easy to come by drug around besides kids being able to just steal their parents prescription meds. That's mostly what I have to touch on when it comes to the survey.
The only other thing I would like to touch on is the comment made by j.mompremier I think that what you said about inmates wanting to stay clean and fearing their release because they are afraid they will relapse is just so sad. I think it shows a great example of what society can do to and how it can drive an individual into doing things they wouldn't normally do if they had restraints.
I have to say that I must agree with all of my classmates but the main issue that I strongly agree with is poverty. Which brings me to joels comment when he states "Poverty usually plays a big role for family problems and thus leads people for “escape” and drugs are usually the quickest solution for them." I can totally agree with this comment. It all starts with in the home you come from.
The national survey shows that people starts to use marijuana as young as thirteen years of age, I believe this statement because around that age group is when teensagers start to think and want to be cool and start to make the wrong decisions.Marijuana is one of the cheapest and most commonly use drugs in the market. It can be easyly reach by students in schools. To my surprise whites are at the top, I wouldn't have never thought that they were the top percentage.
I do agree with Tiffanie Dixon there isn't a 100% correct survey because a lot of people sometimes doesn't say the truth.
This article provided a breakdown of each drugs and the common area which it is use by the most. I must admit that this survey has something to do with culture, socioeconomics, and social class. For an example in different culture, they believe that drug is use as a way to communicate with their god to find answer to their prayer. While other people use drugs as a way to escape their problem and relieve stress.
i would have to agree with joel. due to our economic crisis throughout the world people are losing everything and turning to drugs as a escape from reality and stress.
i posted my comment on the seccion where the syllabus is by mistake!!!!!

The ad that was most powerful to me was the "hurt" ad.I found it to be powerful because it showed how smoking weed can effect those who look up to you. In this ad, the little boy which would be her little brother kept feeling the sensation of burn marks on his body because he always caught her smoking. Throughout his normal day he just couldnt take his mind off the idea that his sister smokes. Its sad when young children see all the bad things we do because they will eventually repeat are actions. My least powerful ad would be the animations, they were created but did not do anything for me.
