SYLLABUS
Course Description
This course provides students with an overview of drugs and their use in today's society. The impact that narcotics and dangerous substances has on society, the individual, and the criminal justice system will be addressed at the micro and macro level. Issues of addiction, prevention, treatment and enforcement issues will be addressed.
Thursdays will be asynchronous/online utilizing the blog for discussion and the web sites www.abovetheinfluence.com and www.whitehousedrugpolicy.gov to enhance our research for the program proposals. We will not meet on ground. We will meet online (asynchronous) only on Thursdays.
